We are seeking an AI Harness Engineer to join our R&D team in Barcelona. In this role, you will design and maintain the infrastructure and tools (the 'harness') that enable efficient training, evaluation, and deployment of machine learning models for scientific applications. You will collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts to build robust, scalable pipelines that accelerate innovation in life sciences. Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement ML experiment tracking and model evaluation frameworks
• Develop automated testing and validation pipelines for AI models
• Optimize data ingestion and preprocessing workflows for large-scale scientific datasets
• Monitor and improve model performance in production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into Agilent's product ecosystem
• Document best practices and contribute to internal AI/ML community of practice

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years focused on ML/AI infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in Python; experience with Java or Scala is a plus
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Kubeflow) and experiment tracking (MLflow, Weights & Biases)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus
