As a Backend Software Engineer at Quantum Machines, you will design and implement core components of the Quantum Orchestration Platform (QOPA). You will work closely with quantum algorithm experts and hardware teams to build scalable, reliable backend services that enable seamless quantum computing experiments. This role involves developing microservices, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring high availability of our cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and usability of our next-generation quantum control systems, used by leading research institutions and enterprises worldwide.

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with asynchronous programming
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid grasp of database technologies (PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar)
• Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Knowledge of version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development
• Ability to write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
