We are seeking a Clinical Research Billing Analyst to manage and coordinate billing activities related to clinical trials. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and accurate financial reporting.

Job Summary

As a Clinical Research Billing Analyst, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely billing of clinical trial-related services. You will work closely with research coordinators, finance, and compliance teams to ensure all billing activities adhere to federal regulations, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies. This role is critical in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the growth of clinical research operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and process billing for clinical trial procedures, including patient visits, laboratory tests, and imaging studies.
• Ensure proper coding and classification of services according to trial protocols and billing guidelines.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to verify patient eligibility and coverage details.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies between billed amounts and contractual terms.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Stay updated on changes in healthcare billing regulations, including Medicare coverage for clinical trials.
• Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.
• Generate reports on billing metrics, reimbursement status, and financial performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a clinical research setting
• Knowledge of medical coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and clinical trial billing rules
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) is a plus
