We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic IT team at Medline International France. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions to support our global healthcare distribution operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of our cloud infrastructure, with a focus on AWS and Azure platforms. This is a remote contract position offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within Germany.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy scalable, secure cloud solutions in AWS and Azure
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency and performance
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployments
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related incidents and performance issues
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR)
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud-native services
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
- Strong expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda) and/or Azure (VMs, Storage, Networking)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
