We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher or Senior Engineer to join our team in the cutting-edge field of cross-tier and distributed caching and data management in massively distributed systems. This position is part of a collaborative project involving leading research institutions and industry partners, focusing on designing novel solutions to optimize data access and consistency across geographically dispersed nodes and hierarchical storage tiers. The research will explore adaptive caching strategies, innovative consistency models, and efficient data placement algorithms to enhance the performance, scalability, and resilience of large-scale distributed systems such as cloud platforms, edge environments, and data grids. The successful candidate will contribute to theoretical foundations, implement prototypes, and evaluate the proposed methods through simulation and real-world testbeds. The role involves publishing results in top-tier conferences and journals, and engaging with an international consortium of experts. • PhD in Computer Science, Distributed Systems, or a closely related field
• Strong background in distributed systems, data management, and caching mechanisms
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, or Go
• Experience with simulation tools or testbed environments for distributed systems
• Demonstrated track record of research publications in relevant venues
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
