Position Overview

Veem is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer, BI & Reporting to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers business intelligence, analytics, and reporting across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy, scalability, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large datasets from multiple sources
• Build and maintain scalable data warehouses and data marts optimized for business intelligence and reporting
• Create and automate reports and dashboards using tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, KPI definitions, and reporting needs
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security through monitoring, testing, and documentation
• Optimize query performance and data storage costs
• Contribute to data modeling, schema design, and ETL/ELT processes
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and BI

• 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or related field
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with modern data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran)
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for data processing
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality best practices
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is preferred
