Design and build the data platform that powers Manychat's analytics and machine learning systems. We are seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to own our data infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.

We are looking for a skilled Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence teams. You will work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement data pipelines for batch and real-time processing
• Manage and optimize data storage systems (e.g., data lakes, warehouses)
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with security standards
• Build monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms for data infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate data platform services into applications
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to engineering best practices
• Evaluate and adopt new data technologies to improve platform performance

• Experience: 4+ years in data engineering or platform engineering
• Languages: Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Data Processing: Hands-on with Spark, Kafka, or similar streaming/batch tools
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure (e.g., S3, GCS, Dataflow)
• Databases: Knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL systems (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift)
• Orchestration: Familiarity with Airflow, Prefect, or similar
• Infrastructure: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork
• Nice to Have: Experience with MLOps, data catalogs, or real-time analytics
