Telus is looking for a Design Specialist II to lead Health & Welfare Benefits Implementations. This role involves designing and configuring benefit plans for clients, ensuring smooth delivery and regulatory compliance.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Design Specialist II to lead the implementation of Health & Welfare benefit plans for our clients. This role involves designing, configuring, and testing benefit plans within our administrative systems to ensure seamless delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to understand benefit plan requirements and design appropriate solutions.
• Configure benefit plans in the administration system, including eligibility rules, coverage levels, and billing structures.
• Conduct rigorous testing to validate plan design and system functionality before go-live.
• Provide subject matter expertise on Health & Welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending accounts.
• Create and maintain implementation documentation, including project plans and test scripts.
• Support client training and provide ongoing post-implementation support.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes affecting Health & Welfare benefits.

Work Environment:
This is a remote contract position with collaboration via virtual meetings and tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including project management, client services, and IT.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in health and welfare benefits administration or implementation
• Strong understanding of benefit plan design and compliance (e.g., ACA, ERISA)
• Proficiency with benefits administration systems (e.g., HRIS, benefits platforms)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
• Experience with project management methodologies is a plus
