Lead the engineering team for the pre-opening and ongoing operations of Six Senses Quexigal Palace in Castile and León, ensuring world-class facilities, sustainability, and exceptional guest experiences.

As the Director of Engineering, you will lead the engineering department for the pre-opening and ongoing operations of the stunning Six Senses Quexigal Palace. You will oversee all aspects of building systems, maintenance, sustainability initiatives, and guest safety. Your role includes:

• Managing the engineering team, including recruitment, training, and performance
• Ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire/life safety systems operate efficiently
• Implementing preventive maintenance programs and overseeing repairs
• Driving sustainability goals, reducing energy consumption and waste
• Collaborating with the pre-opening team on design, construction, and commissioning
• Managing budgets, procurement, and inventory for engineering supplies
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations and Six Senses standards
• Responding to guest and operational needs with a focus on quality and timeliness

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in hotel engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience in hotel pre-opening and project management
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
• Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy management
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships
• Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus
