Airbus is seeking an experienced Embedded / Simulation Software Architect Engineer to join our team in Toulouse. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and architecting real-time embedded software systems for aircraft simulation and testing platforms. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to define software architectures that meet stringent safety, performance, and reliability requirements typical of the aerospace industry. Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and documenting software architecture for embedded simulation systems
• Guiding the development team in implementing modular, scalable, and maintainable software solutions
• Ensuring compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., DO-178C) and company guidelines
• Conducting architectural reviews and optimizing system performance
• Collaborating with hardware, systems, and test teams to integrate software components
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies and proposing architecture improvements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in embedded software development and architecture
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and real-time operating systems (e.g., VxWorks, RTEMS)
• Experience with simulation environments and tools (e.g., Simulink, SCADE, or similar)
• Strong understanding of software architecture patterns (e.g., component-based, service-oriented)
• Knowledge of avionics standards (e.g., DO-178B/C) is highly desirable
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Fluent in English; French is a plus
