Lead the strategy and execution of AI quality, assurance, and evaluation at Agilent Technologies, driving excellence in AI-powered diagnostic and lab solutions on a REMOTE_CONTRACT basis.

As the Head of AI Quality, Assurance and Evaluation, you will define and lead the quality strategy for all AI/ML products and systems across Agilent's diagnostic and laboratory solutions portfolio. This role bridges advanced AI research and mission-critical applications, ensuring that models are robust, fair, interpretable, and compliant with regulatory standards. You will build a world-class QA team, design evaluation frameworks for generative and predictive AI, and drive continuous improvement in model performance and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

• Establishing AI quality metrics (accuracy, robustness, bias, drift) and automated monitoring pipelines.
• Overseeing manual and automated testing of AI features across development lifecycles.
• Collaborating with data scientists and engineers to integrate quality gates into MLOps workflows.
• Leading audits for AI risk management, explainability, and compliance (e.g., EU AI Act, FDA/IVDR).
• Managing a team of QA engineers and AI evaluation specialists.
• Reporting quality KPIs to executive leadership and recommending strategic improvements.

• Education: M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: 10+ years in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years focused on AI/ML systems in a leadership capacity.
• Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of ML evaluation (classification, regression, generative models), bias detection, adversarial robustness testing, and A/B experimentation.
• Tools: Proficiency with Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, MLOps platforms (MLflow, Kubeflow), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience with regulated environments (healthcare, clinical diagnostics) is a strong plus.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic thinking.
• Language: Fluent English required; Spanish or Catalan a plus.
