Role Overview

As an Integration & Distributed Systems Engineer, you will architect and maintain the distributed infrastructure powering the Cognitive Twin—a human-like digital replica that learns, reasons, and interacts autonomously. You will bridge hardware, software, and AI modules into a cohesive, scalable platform.

Key Responsibilities

• System Integration: Seamlessly connect perception, planning, control, and simulation subsystems using microservices and message-passing frameworks (ROS 2, DDS, MQTT).
• Distributed Architecture: Design fault-tolerant, low-latency communication protocols for real-time sensor data and decision logic across edge and cloud environments.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize network throughput, serialization, and synchronization to meet strict latency and safety requirements.
• Tooling & Automation: Develop CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring solutions for continuous deployment of cognitive models.
• Collaboration: Partner with AI researchers, roboticists, and software engineers to refine integration patterns and validate end-to-end behavior.
• Documentation: Maintain clear architectural diagrams, API specifications, and operational runbooks.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience: 4+ years in distributed systems, integration engineering, or robotics middleware.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python
  • Deep knowledge of ROS 2, DDS, or similar real-time frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong grasp of networking concepts (TCP/UDP, serialization, latency optimization)
• Problem-Solving: Ability to debug complex, multi-node systems and optimize for reliability and performance.
• Communication: Clear written and verbal English; ability to document and present architectural decisions.
• Nice-to-Have: Experience with FPGA/GPU programming and functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
