Arcadis is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer to join their Calgary office, offering the chance to work on impactful building projects across Canada. You will apply your expertise in structural analysis and design while mentoring junior team members.

As an Intermediate Structural Engineer, you will be a key member of our Calgary team, contributing to the delivery of complex projects across Canada. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform structural analysis and design of various building structures, including commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
• Develop detailed structural models using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, RAM, or similar).
• Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, mechanical, electrical) and external stakeholders.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure design compliance and quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and technologists, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting efforts.
• Ensure all work meets regulatory codes, standards, and company quality assurance protocols.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA, or eligible for registration within 6 months.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in structural engineering design for buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, or RAM.
• Working knowledge of Canadian building codes (NBC, CSA S16, CSA A23.3).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience with Revit or BIM software is an asset.
• Experience in seismic design and analysis is a plus.
