BC Hydro is looking for an experienced IT Advisor (Compliance Systems Support) to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert advice and technical support for compliance-related systems, ensuring that our operations align with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will work closely with compliance officers, IT teams, and business stakeholders to maintain system integrity, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and guidance for compliance systems (e.g., environmental, safety, regulatory tracking).
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and coordinate resolutions.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure systems meet evolving compliance needs.
- Assist in audits and compliance reporting by maintaining accurate system data.
- Develop and update documentation, training materials, and system procedures.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and deployment activities.
- Stay current with regulatory changes and recommend system enhancements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or compliance systems
Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO, NERC, or similar)
Experience with database management and reporting tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with regulatory environments (energy sector preferred)
Certification in ITIL or related discipline is an asset
