Kaiser Permanente is seeking a senior IT Infrastructure Engineer VI to lead Privileged Access Management (PAM) initiatives, ensuring secure and compliant access to critical systems across our healthcare enterprise.

Role Overview

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer VI specializing in Privileged Access Management (PAM), you will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of secure access controls across our enterprise infrastructure. You will collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and systems teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and protect critical assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and manage PAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust) to secure privileged accounts
• Develop policies, procedures, and automation scripts for identity governance
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and remediation of access vulnerabilities
• Integrate PAM with IAM, SIEM, and ticketing systems
• Provide tier-3 support for PAM incidents and escalations
• Mentor junior engineers and document best practices

Technology Stack

• PAM Platforms: CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or similar
• Identity Management: Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP
• Scripting: PowerShell, Python, Bash
• Monitoring: Splunk, Sumo Logic
• Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP (IAM components)

• Experience: 8+ years in IT infrastructure engineering with at least 3 years focused on PAM
• Certification: Technical Support Specialist certification (or equivalent PAM certification)
• Skills:
  • Deep knowledge of privileged access management frameworks and tools
  • Strong scripting and automation abilities (PowerShell, Python)
  • Experience with directory services (AD, Azure AD) and IAM concepts
  • Familiarity with security standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOX)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
