Join MaibornWolff as a Junior Cloud Platform Engineer and help shape modern cloud infrastructures. You'll work on exciting projects using the latest DevOps technologies in a supportive team environment.

As a Junior Cloud Platform Engineer at MaibornWolff, you will work in a cross-functional team to design, implement, and operate cloud-native solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Your responsibilities include:

• Automating infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
• Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Containerizing applications with Docker and orchestrating them with Kubernetes
• Monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar
• Ensuring security best practices and compliance in cloud environments
• Collaborating with developers to optimize application performance and scalability
• Participating in on-call rotations and incident response

You will also contribute to internal knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of our DevOps culture. With guidance from senior engineers, you will grow your expertise in cloud architecture and automation.

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (alternatively, relevant vocational training with practical experience)
• First hands-on experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) – ideally during internships, working student roles, or personal projects
• Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus)
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and version control (Git)
• Familiarity with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
• Good communication skills in English; German is a plus
