Firo is seeking a motivated Junior Python Developer to join our remote-first team. As a key contributor to our open-source projects, you will work on developing robust, scalable Python applications that enhance privacy-focused technologies. Responsibilities: In this entry-level role, you will support senior developers in writing clean, efficient Python code for backend services, scripts, and automation tools. Your tasks will include implementing features based on specifications, debugging and testing code using unit tests, and optimizing simple algorithms for performance. You'll collaborate on integrating Python with databases like PostgreSQL and APIs, ensuring code adheres to best practices such as PEP 8 standards.
As part of a distributed team, you'll participate in daily stand-ups via Slack and Zoom, use Jira for task tracking, and contribute to code reviews through GitHub pull requests. We foster a collaborative culture where you'll learn agile methodologies, including Scrum sprints, to deliver iterative improvements.
