Join Remote as our Managing Counsel for the EMEA region, where you will lead commercial legal strategy and support our global expansion by negotiating complex contracts and navigating regulatory landscapes.

As the Managing Counsel for Commercial (EMEA) at Remote, you will lead the commercial legal function across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will work closely with the sales, product, and finance teams to negotiate, draft, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts, including SaaS agreements, partnership agreements, and vendor contracts. You will also provide strategic legal advice on regulatory compliance, data privacy, and intellectual property matters. This role is ideal for an experienced commercial lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment and is passionate about enabling global employment solutions.

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law, ideally at a top law firm or in-house at a technology company
• Extensive experience negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, including SaaS, licensing, and services agreements
• Strong knowledge of EMEA regulatory frameworks, data protection laws (GDPR), and employment law
• Proven ability to manage complex, cross-border legal projects and provide pragmatic business advice
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; fluency in another European language (e.g., Spanish, French, German) is a strong plus
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate across time zones
• Experience with employment law and global mobility is preferred
