Jamison Professional Services Inc is seeking a detail-oriented Program Acquisition Application/Analyst Specialist (Part-Time) to support our federal and commercial clients in the Hampton, Virginia area. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, focusing on the acquisition and implementation of software applications that drive organizational efficiency. You will work closely with stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate vendor proposals, and oversee the lifecycle of program acquisitions from initiation to deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through new or upgraded applications.
• Develop and maintain acquisition documentation including business cases, RFPs, and evaluation matrices.
• Coordinate with vendors, IT teams, and end-users to ensure alignment of solutions with strategic goals.
• Conduct market research and vendor assessments to recommend cost-effective software acquisitions.
• Support project management activities such as timeline tracking, risk assessment, and status reporting.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing and training sessions for acquired applications.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS) as applicable.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience: 2+ years in business analysis, program acquisition, or IT project coordination.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Familiarity with acquisition lifecycle management and procurement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity.
• Preferred:
  • Experience with federal acquisition regulations (FAR).
  • Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or CACP is a plus.
