About the Role The Programme Manager Forest Management will lead strategic initiatives to enhance forest management certification worldwide. You will work closely with regional offices, stakeholders, and technical experts to ensure FSC standards are effectively implemented and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage global forest management programmes aligned with FSC’s mission.
• Coordinate with certification bodies, indigenous groups, and environmental NGOs to promote best practices.
• Oversee policy development, capacity building, and monitoring of forest management standards.
• Lead cross-functional projects from conception through implementation and evaluation.
• Represent FSC in international forums, conferences, and working groups.

• Education: Master’s degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience in forest management, certification, or conservation programmes.
• Skills: Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
• Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken); German or other languages are a plus.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with FSC standards and certification systems.
• Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally (post-pandemic).
