Lead high-impact fintech transformation projects as a Project Manager for Adaptive Financial Consulting. Drive delivery of a cutting-edge trading platform for a tier-one bank – fully remote, outside IR35, with a competitive contract rate.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a critical workstream within a high-profile fintech transformation programme. You will work alongside a team of elite consultants and engineers, driving the delivery of a new trading platform for a tier-one investment bank. Your responsibilities include:

• Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives
• Developing full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
• Managing day-to-day operational aspects of the project – from requirements gathering through to go-live
• Facilitating agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
• Identifying and resolving issues, risks, and dependencies across cross-functional teams
• Liaising between business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to ensure alignment
• Tracking project milestones and reporting progress to senior management using Jira and Confluence
• Ensuring all deliverables meet the highest regulatory and quality standards
• Managing third-party vendors and system integrators
• Conducting post-implementation reviews and capturing lessons learned

This is a remote contract outside IR35, offering you the autonomy to manage your own schedule while delivering a state-of-the-art solution in the fast-paced fintech sector.

• Proven Project Management experience (5+ years) in financial services or fintech, preferably with exposure to trading systems or capital markets
• Strong track record in waterfall and hybrid-agile delivery methodologies
• Expert knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and MS Project (or similar PM tools)
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills – comfortable presenting to C-level executives
• Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., MiFID II, EMIR) is highly desirable
• PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe) preferred
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment
• Right to work in the UK – no visa sponsorship available
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
