Role Overview

As a Security Engineer focused on SecOps and Cloud, you will lead the charge in protecting our cloud-native infrastructure and ensuring robust security operations. You will design and implement security architectures, respond to incidents, and drive continuous improvement of our security posture. This role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering and security operations, requiring deep expertise in both domains.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain secure cloud architectures on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Lead incident response and forensic investigations for security events
• Develop and automate security monitoring, detection, and remediation workflows
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits
• Implement and manage SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
• Create and maintain security documentation, policies, and training materials
• Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies to proactively mitigate risks

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering, with at least 3 years focused on cloud security
• Proven expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP security services and best practices
• Strong understanding of SecOps processes, including incident response, threat hunting, and forensics
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Bash, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM (Splunk, ELK), IDS/IPS (Snort, Suricata), and vulnerability scanners
• Knowledge of network security, encryption, IAM, and zero-trust architectures
• Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD security
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, CEH) are highly valued
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus
