We are seeking a seasoned Back End Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable server-side systems that power our suite of creative digital products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with front-end engineers, designers, and product managers to architect robust APIs, optimize database performance, and ensure high availability of services. You will contribute to system architecture decisions, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices in code quality and security. Our tech stack includes Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure on AWS. This is a fully remote, contract position with the potential for long-term engagement.

• 5+ years of professional back end engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and/or Python
• Experience designing and building RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
