Join the Hillsborough County Clerk of Court & Comptroller as a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect and maintain robust cloud infrastructure, automate deployment pipelines, and ensure high availability of critical public services.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our IT team on a remote contract basis. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support the Clerk of Court & Comptroller's mission-critical applications. You will collaborate with developers, system administrators, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and maintain AWS cloud environments (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC)
• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for frequent, reliable deployments
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
• Perform system performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery exercises
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry regulations
• Mentor junior engineers and document processes/C4 diagrams

Technologies You'll Use: AWS, Terraform, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Git, Linux, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana

• Experience: 5+ years in DevOps or SRE roles
• Cloud Expertise: AWS, Azure, or GCP (AWS preferred)
• Automation: Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools
• CI/CD: Strong experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Containers: Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) hands-on
• Scripting: Python, Bash, or Go
• Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack
• Security: Understanding of DevSecOps, IAM, and compliance policies
