SpaceOps Inc is a fast-growing aerospace technology company specializing in satellite operations and space mission management systems. We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team and help build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our mission-critical ground station network and satellite command and control systems.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our cloud and on-premise infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. You will work closely with software engineers, mission operators, and data scientists to support the development and operation of our satellite management platform.

Key responsibilities include:

• Architecting and managing Kubernetes clusters for containerized microservices
• Implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools
• Managing cloud infrastructure on AWS (or Azure/GCP) using Terraform or Pulumi
• Monitoring system performance and reliability using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
• Automating operational tasks with Python, Bash, or Go
• Collaborating with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability
• Participating in on-call rotation for critical incident response
• Maintaining documentation and best practices for infrastructure and deployment processes

• Experience: 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or related infrastructure roles
• Cloud Platforms: Extensive hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, VPC); Azure or GCP experience is a plus
• Containerization: Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration
• CI/CD: Proficient with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent CI/CD pipelines
• Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience with Terraform or Pulumi
• Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go
• Monitoring: Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring/alerting tools
• Security: Understanding of security best practices for cloud and container environments
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
