Nexzentek is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect and maintain our cloud infrastructure, automate deployments, and ensure reliability of production systems. This remote contract role offers competitive compensation and the chance to work with modern technologies.

We are seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Nexzentek. In this role, you will design, implement, and manage scalable infrastructure solutions, automate deployment pipelines, and ensure high availability of our cloud-native applications. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD processes, optimize performance, and maintain security best practices. This is a fully remote contract position offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement disaster recovery plans
• Automate operational tasks using scripting (Python, Bash, Go)
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes
• Ensure security compliance and implement access controls
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices documentation

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE roles
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Proficient in automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
• Scripting skills: Python, Bash, or similar
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Preferred: Kubernetes certification (CKA/CKAD), AWS Solutions Architect
