We are seeking a seasoned PostgreSQL infrastructure engineer to manage, scale, and optimize our database systems across a global remote team.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer specializing in PostgreSQL, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure. You'll work closely with the engineering team to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security of all database systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Architecting and managing PostgreSQL clusters (streaming replication, Patroni, etc.)
• Monitoring and tuning database performance, query optimization, and indexing strategies
• Automating routine maintenance tasks (backups, failovers, upgrades)
• Collaborating with developers on schema design and migration strategies
• Implementing security best practices including encryption, access control, and auditing
• Participating in on-call rotation for critical incidents
• Documenting systems, procedures, and runbooks

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL in production environments
• Deep understanding of replication, clustering, and high-availability strategies
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and scripting (Bash, Python)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues and tune queries
• Strong communication skills for remote collaboration
