Lead the design vision for Clio’s Drafting & Courts product line, managing a talented team of product designers to create exceptional legal technology experiences.

We are seeking a seasoned product design leader to own the end-to-end design strategy for our Drafting & Courts product line. In this role, you will lead a team of product designers, collaborate closely with product management and engineering, and ensure our legal professionals deliver intuitive, efficient, and delightful experiences. You will define design vision, establish design systems, and drive user research to inform product decisions. You will represent the design team in executive-level discussions and champion a user-centered culture across the organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of product designers.
• Define the product design roadmap and prioritize design initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align design with business goals.
• Establish and maintain a scalable design system and component library.
• Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and data-driven iterations.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Stay current with industry trends and legal tech innovations.

• Experience: 8+ years in product design, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
• Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including web and mobile applications.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop a diverse design team.
• Design Systems: Experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries.
• User Research: Deep understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills; experience working with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
• Domain: Experience in legal technology or B2B SaaS is a strong plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (or equivalent experience).
