Join Carbmee as a Senior Platform Engineer to build and scale the cloud infrastructure powering our carbon management platform, enabling companies worldwide to reduce their environmental impact.

Carbmee is a fast-growing climate tech startup on a mission to help companies measure, reduce, and offset their carbon footprint. We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our remote-first team and help us build the infrastructure behind our carbon management platform.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain our cloud-native platform that supports thousands of users. You will collaborate closely with our engineering, data science, and product teams to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of our systems. Your work will directly contribute to enabling companies worldwide to achieve their net-zero goals.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and manage our multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) for microservices deployed on Kubernetes
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to ensure platform reliability
• Automate operational tasks and contribute to incident response and on-call rotation
• Drive platform improvements in security, cost optimization, and developer experience
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles
• Strong expertise in cloud providers (AWS essential, GCP or Azure a plus)
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Proficiency in Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows
• Solid scripting skills (Python, Go, or Bash)
• Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, etc.)
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
• Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus but not required)
• Passion for climate tech and sustainability
