We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to lead the design and implementation of innovative software solutions that accelerate our synthetic biology research and manufacturing platforms. You will collaborate with biologists, engineers, and data scientists to build scalable systems that drive discovery and production of novel biomaterials.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop cloud-based microservices for lab data management, workflow orchestration, and analytics
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs serving both internal and external stakeholders
• Optimize data pipelines for high-throughput processing of genomic and proteomic datasets
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning
• Ensure code quality through automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and ability to work in a fast-paced research environment
