As Senior Technical Project Manager for IT Innovations, you will lead complex, high-impact projects that drive digital transformation within the German federal government. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of technical initiatives, from requirements gathering through implementation and operational handover. Working closely with internal teams, external partners, and government clients, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Typical projects involve secure identity solutions, blockchain, cloud infrastructure, and AI-based verification systems. You will champion agile methodologies, manage risks proactively, and report to senior leadership on project progress. • Experience: At least 7 years in technical project management, ideally with exposure to government or security-critical environments.
• Methodologies: Strong knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and traditional project management (PRINCE2, PMP).
• Technical Background: Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and software development lifecycles.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to translate technical details for non-technical audiences.
• Languages: Fluent German (C1+) and proficient English (B2+).
• Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent preferred.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's is a plus.
