Position Summary:

As a Shipper/Inspector at Wabi Iron & Steel Corp., you will play a critical role in our manufacturing operations by ensuring that all finished products meet quality standards and are shipped accurately and on time. You will inspect incoming and outgoing materials, prepare shipments, and maintain detailed records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect finished products for compliance with specifications, noting any defects or non-conformances
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to prioritize shipments
• Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists, labels, and bills of lading
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes safely
• Verify inventory counts and report discrepancies
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations
• Assist with receiving raw materials and conducting incoming inspections
• Collaborate with quality assurance to resolve inspection issues

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in logistics or quality control is an asset • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or inspection roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies • Familiarity with shipping documentation, packing lists, and bill of lading • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes (certification preferred) • Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, inventory management systems) • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
