Dalkia is seeking a meticulous Site Quality Engineer / Inspector to ensure excellence in engineering and construction projects across our sites in Bridgwater, UK.

As a Site Quality Engineer / Inspector at Dalkia, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all engineering and construction activities on our sites meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives, you will conduct inspections, audits, and quality assurance checks across various mechanical, electrical, and civil works. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly contribute to the successful delivery of complex energy and facilities management projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and ad-hoc inspections of site activities, materials, and equipment to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection test plans (ITPs), quality control checklists, and non-conformance reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Audit subcontractors and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
• Provide guidance and training to site teams on quality procedures and best practices.
• Participate in project review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, Inspector, or similar role in construction, engineering, or energy sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, inspection techniques, and relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering disciplines.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to identify non-conformances and drive improvements.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
• Relevant certification (e.g., CSWIP, API, CQI) or willingness to obtain within first 6 months.
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to various site locations.
