Join PNC Financial Services Group as a Software Engineer Principal (Sr DevOps Engineer) to architect, implement, and manage our cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will drive automation, reliability, and scalability across critical financial systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain highly available, secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment
• Automate operational processes using scripting (Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive remediation
• Mentor junior engineers and establish DevOps best practices
• Ensure compliance with financial industry security and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with software development teams to optimize application delivery and performance

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience: 7+ years in software engineering, with at least 4 years in a senior DevOps or SRE role
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
  • Proficient in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana)
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities; ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Preferred: Experience in the financial services sector or with regulated environments; certifications (AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus
