Full Job Description

Liferay is a leading open-source portal and digital experience platform company. As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain features for our core product, working on everything from backend services to frontend interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and enhance components of the Liferay DXP platform using Java, OSGi, and modern web technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers in an agile, remote-first environment.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to open-source projects and the wider developer community.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Java (8+).
  • Experience with web frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and microservices.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Language: Fluent in Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.
• Soft Skills: Problem-solving, teamwork, self-motivation in a remote setting.
• Preferred: Experience with Liferay or portal technologies; familiarity with OSGi.
