HOOPP is seeking a dedicated Sr. Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Network and Cloud Operations team. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our cloud and network platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS and/or Azure).
• Manage network operations including VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and SD-WAN.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and network issues.
• Automate operational tasks using scripting (Python, Bash) and configuration tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.
• Implement security best practices and compliance standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical incident response.
• Document system architecture and operational procedures.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering and network operations.
• Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in AWS and/or Azure (architecture, networking, security, compute, storage).
• Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing protocols, VPNs (IPSec, SSL), VPC design, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Automation & IaC: Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, or similar; scripting with Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Monitoring: Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, ELK Stack).
• Security: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
• CI/CD: Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or similar are strongly preferred.
