As a System Engineer (all genders) with a focus on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) at DATAGROUP SE, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and operation of modern virtual desktop infrastructures based on Microsoft Azure. You will work in an agile team, supporting our customers in their digital transformation and ensuring high availability, security, and performance of AVD environments.

Your tasks include:

• Design and deployment of Azure Virtual Desktop solutions
• Configuration and management of FSLogix, RDP properties, and host pools
• Automation with PowerShell, ARM/Bicep templates, or Terraform
• Monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Collaboration with colleagues from network, security, and identity management
• Creation of technical documentation and concepts
• On-call duty participation (compensated)

You will also have the opportunity to shape our cloud strategy and continuously develop your skills via Microsoft certification paths.

• Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., Fachinformatiker) or a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft server and desktop environments
• In-depth knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and the associated components (FSLogix, MSIX, Azure Files, etc.)
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper‑V, VMware, or Citrix
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, ideally also in ARM/Bicep or Terraform
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent German and good English skills (C1 German, B2 English)
• Ability to work independently and in a team, customer‑oriented mindset
