Drive IT excellence as a System Engineer Site Services at ICIG Business Services GmbH – delivering robust infrastructure support and innovative solutions across the Ruhr region.

As a System Engineer Site Services, you will be the backbone of our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and support at client sites across the Ruhr region. You will design, implement, and maintain network systems, servers, and cloud solutions while providing hands-on technical support to end-users. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and roll out new technologies. Key responsibilities include:

• Infrastructure Management: Administer and monitor servers, storage, and network devices (Cisco, HP, etc.).
• Site Support: Visit client locations to deploy hardware, resolve incidents, and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Security & Compliance: Implement security patches, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of configurations, procedures, and asset inventory.
• Project Participation: Assist in IT projects such as migrations, upgrades, and system integrations.
• User Training: Provide guidance to staff on best practices and new systems.

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: At least 3 years in system engineering or IT support roles, preferably with site service experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
  • Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall configuration.
  • Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and hybrid environments.
• Certifications (preferred): CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or MCSA.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management abilities.
• Language: Fluent German (C1) and good English (B2) for documentation.
• Mobility: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Ruhr area.
