Lead the systems engineering team at Bankjoy, architecting and maintaining the secure, scalable infrastructure powering our digital banking platform.

As the VP of Systems Engineering, you will lead our technical infrastructure and systems strategy. You will oversee a team of engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable systems that power our digital banking solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, driving innovation in cloud architecture, automation, and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the systems engineering roadmap aligned with company goals.
• Team Management: Mentor and grow a team of systems engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Architecture & Design: Architect and oversee the implementation of high-availability, distributed systems.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure 99.99% uptime through robust monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Manage multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and optimize cost/performance.
• Automation: Drive automation of infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and scaling.
• Security: Collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices across systems.
• Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage third-party technology partnerships.
• Budgeting: Own the systems engineering budget and resource allocation.

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of architecting and managing large-scale, distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, and database technologies.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
• Outstanding communication and team-building skills.
• Preferred: Experience in fintech or banking technology.
• Preferred: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional).
