We are seeking an experienced WordPress/WooCommerce Developer to join our team on a freelance basis. In this role, you will be responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining our e-commerce presence built on WooCommerce. You will work closely with our product and marketing teams to implement new features, optimize performance, and ensure a seamless user experience.

Your primary focus will be on:

• Developing custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to our needs
• Integrating and customizing WooCommerce for complex product catalogs and checkout flows
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to performance, security, and functionality
• Collaborating with designers to translate UI/UX mockups into responsive, accessible web pages
• Maintaining code quality through version control (Git) and code reviews
• Staying current with WordPress and WooCommerce best practices and updates

This is a remote contract position with flexible hours. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful educational technology projects.

• Proven experience as a WordPress developer with a strong portfolio of WooCommerce projects
• Deep understanding of WooCommerce architecture, hooks, filters, and custom post types
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including modern JS frameworks like React or Vue is a plus)
• Experience with REST API development and integration
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
• Knowledge of web performance optimization, caching (e.g., Redis, Varnish), and CDN integration
